In a couple of weeks we have our annual church meeting. Its a chance to come together as one church family to hear about all that has happened in the life of Sunnyside over the last 12 months. We hear from the treasurer, different mission groups and of course, from David Abbott. This years Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) is particularly important as we build up to the vacancy that will follow the departure of David and Isabel in the autumn. There’s also the chance to elect new members of the PCC as well as Church Wardens. The Parochial Church Council (PCC) is the governing body of the church, elected at the APCM. To see more about the role of the PCC, click here.
Before the APCM its important to read the annual report, so you have a rough idea of what’s been happening over the last twelve months. Stick the kettle on a give it a quick read! You can view the annual report by clicking here.
The meeting begins at 7.45pm but there’s refreshments beforehand from 7.15pm. We’re asking all who call Sunnyside their church to make this meeting a priority, so block the evening out in your diary now! If you can’t make it but would like to send your apologies then please email the Church Office.
The APCM is always an exciting opportunity to reflect on the last year whilst we get excited about all that God is leading us in as we prepare for a new season at Sunnyside. We’re looking forward to seeing you there.
