The Deanery Synod is the meeting of local Anglican churches.  They host an annual lecture their guest speaker this year is Terry Waite CBE.

Terry Waite has led a life full of remarkable experiences.  He has met and negotiated with people such as General Amin, Colonel Ghadaffi, and many radical groups around the world.  He has been an advisor to the first African Archbishop of Uganda and also to the Archbishop of Canterbury.  He was a hostage in Beirut for almost five years.  Today he continues to be active in the Hostage world as well as working for the homeless and also for the development of young people throughout the world.  In his lecture he will discuss some of his experiences and refer to several of his books which will be available on the evening and which he will be happy to personalise.

The meeting is being held at Egerton Rothesay school and is free but you will need to book your place as there is limited seating in the venue.

Booking will be available, via Eventbrite, from midday on Monday 26th March.

Alternatively, if you do not have access to internet booking please call Sunnyside office from Monday 26th March to request a ticket.  These will be allocated on a first come, first served basis so we cannot guarantee that everyone will get a ticket but we’ll do the best we can to ensure that everyone who would like to attend can!
