At Sunnyside we believe our children are a really important part of our church community. We run groups both on Sundays and midweek for children aged 0-11.

 

During the school summer holidays we also run a holiday club in the George Street playground.

our sunday children’s activities

All of our children’s activities are at 10.00am and run in conjunction with the main service. Most weeks the children join the adults in church towards the end of the service to enable us to worship together as one community.

creche (0 – 2 1/2 years)

The creche meets in the Breukelman room which is in the halls attached to the main church. The children have access to a variety of play equipment and books, and from a very early age feel secure, loved and valued within our church environment.

sunday’s cool

All of the children gather together in the hall at 10am. We have a ‘switch on’ activity, usually active to make sure we are all (adults and children alike!) awake. We sing together and share and participate in a story in many interactive ways.

We then split into zones where the children can further explore the truths and themes for the day through craft activities, prayer activities, discussion, games and much much more.

5.00pm: sunday@five

Food, fun, games, music, video, talks and discussion with a family feel. Everyone’s welcome especially if you’re aged 9-13.

our weekday children’s activities

friday@5

Friday@5 is a social group for all children in school years 1 – 6. We meet once a month (usually the 2nd Friday) at the parish room in St Johns Church, Bourne End, from 5.00pm to 6.30pm. We have fun, food, craft, games, and once a term we plan to have outings. Come along and bring your friends… a great place to chill out after a busy week at school.

smarties (0 – 3 years plus adult)

Sunnyside babies and toddler group, Smarties, meets in the church hall every Friday in term-time from 1.30pm to 3.15pm. Aimed at 0 to 4 years it provides an opportunity for play,craft,songs and a chat for tots and their parents or carers.It costs £1.50 per family per week.
