working parties
Most of the practical work of maintaining the church, the building and grounds in which we meet is done by the parishioners. Various working parties ensure the churchyard is kept tidy, refreshments are provided at key times, and that the building fabric is maintained and cleaned.
This is part of the gardening team at work. All are welcome to turn up and join the team.

Fortunately we have multi-skilled people willing to contribute time and effort in many ways, seen and unseen.
The metal salvage report in Sundial highlights how relatively small contributions can add up and make a difference; and where else can you so usefully dispose of electrical cable, stair rods, keys and wheel trims?
Boiler maintenance.

A visitor recently said, ‘This is church where people live out their faith in action’. We can always find work for willing hands.
