If you were at Sunnyside this morning you will have heard from Nick Heath, the chair of governors at Thomas Coram School in Berkhamsted. Nick is also the Sunnyside Church representative on the governors at the school and has been for the last few years. You may also be aware that Thomas Coram and Victoria School are currently in a period of consultation over the future direction and leadership of the two schools with plans for a new school federation to replace the existing collaboration. Nick spoke briefly about these recent developments this morning and the governors of Thomas Coram and Victoria welcome comments on the new proposal during the current period of consultation.
At Sunnyside, we take seriously the education of all children and young people and want to see this done in a supportive, caring environment that encourages the growth of the Christian faith. Therefore, we’d love to encourage you to submit your thoughts on this consultation to those making decisions.
You can read about this current proposal by clicking here to view the full document. Alternatively, you can visit the Thomas Coram website by clicking here where you will find full details on the plans.
Please be praying for all involved in these decisions, that they may have wisdom and may know God’s peace. Pray that children of all ages will continue to grow and learn in all sorts of ways at these two fantastic schools. Please pray also for Nick, for Rob Halls the executive headteacher, and for the wider governing bodies.
