At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, the guns on the Western Front fell silent, bringing World War I to an end. Sunday 11th November 2018 is the 100th anniversary of this significant moment. This is an important occasion which we will be commemorating at Sunnyside. There will be a joint service on 11th November which will start at 10am. Our service will include a reading of our Roll of Honour and an act of remembrance at 11am. Our children and young people will have their own act of remembrance in their groups.
There will be an informal communion service at St John’s, Bourne End at 6pm on 11th November as part of their commemoration of Remembrance Sunday.
All are very welcome to come to these services.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old, age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning we will remember them.
