Praying for Sunnyside

Despite the rain, 13 of us gathered in the Breukleman Room to pray for Sunnyside this evening. We spent time reflecting on Isaiah 49 and focused particularly on God’s timing, on the scale of God’s vision and on the recurrent theme of children in this passage. We were reminded that God is at work even when we cannot see it and of the importance of looking back at what God has done in Sunnyside over the years and decades. We then broke into threes to pray for Sunnyside, our church family and our mission before blessing one another. There was a powerful sense of God’s presence with us which brought a sense of deep peace and refreshment.

If you were unable to come this evening, why not read Isaiah 49 and use it to inspire your prayers? What is God saying to you through his Word? What is he saying to us at Sunnyside through his Word? Do let Rebecca know how you get on.

Our next prayer meeting is on Thursday 28th March. Why not come along? Everyone is very welcome!
