If you are passing Sunnyside on your daily walk, why not pop through the gates and have a walk round the churchyard. Have a look at our prayer posts and take time to pause and pray at the Easter Garden.

There will be new prayer posts for Holy Week from 28 March and then they will be changed again on Easter Sunday.

The Easter Garden will be in the churchyard 29 March – 12 April. Why not come and ponder the story of Holy Week and Easter as you sit by the Easter Garden.

You might want to add something you have made or grown to the garden or create a pebble path as you think about your own journey towards Easter this year.  This is somewhere for adults and children to wonder or for adults and children to play and pray together.

As part of Messy Easter the families will be creating craft eggs in different ways to remind us of new life which they will be encouraged to come and hang on our Easter tree from Easter Sunday onwards. They will also be painting stones with symbols of hope and love which they will bring to the Easter Garden for others to take away to remind them they are loved and have hope in Jesus,

If you would like to make a stone or an egg to add to the garden please do take part. This is a way for people of all ages in our community to engage with the meaning of Easter in a creative and interactive way.
