Berkhamsted is holding a series of events to help focus attention on COP26, the UN Climate Change Conference which takes place in Glasgow in November.

The Great Big Green Week is a UK wide celebration of action on climate change taking place between the 18th – 26th September 2021. The Berkhamsted Great Big Green Week will bring together local individuals and groups to celebrate what local people are doing in our community to respond to the climate and ecological emergency, inspire others to take action – and explore what more we can do to achieve net zero emissions as soon as possible. The week will kick off on Saturday 18th September in the Civic Centre with a day of events and activities. There are lots of other things happening: you can find out more here.

Sunnyside Church is taking part by having a series of special posters in our churchyard which Niamh is designing. They will help us to explore the flora and fauna we find in our grounds and consider what we can do to help look after them in other places. So why not come and Walk and Wonder?
