In November we’ll be praying for the Swan Youth Project in our High Street and also for Mission Aviation Fellowship in Uganda & East Africa.

Mission Aviation Fellowship’s vision is ‘to see isolated people changed by the love of Christ’, by the use aviation and technology. Sunnyside supports Sam Baguma as Regional Finance Manager for its East Africa Region. He requests the following prayers this month:-

1. Thanks to God that MAF was able to continue flying across the region, when all other Ugandan transport was grounded, but pray for an increase in the number of Covid vaccines coming into the region & for an acceleration in the speed of their roll out. Pray for the work of In Deed and Truth Ministries, one of MAF’s partner organisations in the South Sudanese town of Tonj, which has planted a few churches there, runs a health centre, started a school and does sports outreach to the community.

2. Pray for the safety of Abby, Rachel and Rebecca (particularly when Sam is away) and for the security situation generally in Uganda, where crimes and terrorist incidents have been increasing.

The Swan Youth Project is a drop in centre for young people in Berkhamsted, providing a fun and safe environment for them to connect with friends and find support.
Please pray

– that staff and volunteers can connect with existing and new members
– for guidance for staff as they support young people with mental health issues and
– for financial support
Give thanks for close links with Sunnyside (Luke Fennell) and Northchurch Baptist (Mary Croft) and pray that they would deepen connections with young people in the town through this outreach.
