Each month we pray for two of our mission partners. During May we are praying for Dacorum Street Pastors and The Bible Society.

Dacorum Street Pastors seek to be the visible presence of Christ on the streets of Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted , seeking to show compasdion and care to those in need and those enjoying a night out. Please pray for:

• the right person to take on the role of trustee
• people to come forward to serve as street pastors and prayer partners
• for those who come into contact with street pastors – that they might see something of Jesus

The Bible Society is ‘on a mission to bring the Bible to life for every man, woman and child’. Its staff have recently been able to take food, medicines and Bibles to Ukrainian cities that have been under Russian attack, including Kharkiv and Bucha. Their aim was to provide ‘hope amidst fear’. They also visited a local school that now serves as a local shelter for many people whose homes have been destroyed. Please pray:

• that these visits to hard pressed civilian populations can continue
• that supplies of large print bibles in Ukrainian can still be found, which are more legible in dimly lit basements and shelters
• for Natalia, below, who runs that school shelter in Kharkiv, ‘Psalm 91 is our salvation,’ she says, ‘we read it day and night, night and day. And it surely helps!’ ‘You will not fear the terror of night, ….nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness.’ Vv5a & 6a.
