Sunnyside Rural Trust and Frontiers UK

Each month we pray for two of our mission partners. During July we are praying for Sunnyside Rural Trust and Frontiers UK.

Sunnyside Rural Trust work with young people and those with learning disabilities. They provide a valuable and popular service, currently supporting 147 trainees each week to develop skills and reach their potential through social enterprise and horticultural activities. Give thanks for this valuable work. Maybe consider supporting Sunnyside Rural Trust and pop in for a drink and piece of cake in the cafe at their Hemel Hempstead site or the new cafe at their Northchurch Allotments site. Please pray for:

  • the new areas of need they are meeting – provision of food , clothing and toiletries
  • recruitment of extra staff and funds to meet the growing number of trainees
  • success of the new wellness programmes for volunteers and trainees

FRONTIERS UK – James Price, who came to faith here in Sunnyside, and his wife, Joanna, with their two children, William & Bethan, went to live and undertake mission work in SE Asia for 5 years, returning to UK in 2020. Their decision to settle back here in Leeds, where James first worked for CMS, after university there, was primarily to be close to a large immigrant community in Bradford. God has always inclined their hearts towards Least Reached Peoples, particularly those from a Muslim background and that is also why, last year, James became Regional Strategist for SE Asia at Frontiers UK. Please pray for:

  • good connections with the Rohingya community in Bradford
  • open hearts and boldness for people ‘exploring’ the father’s love in Southeast Asia, and that the online media campaign reaches the right people
  • wisdom as we discern a possible return to Southeast Asia in 2024
