Community Cafe

Community Cafe is on this Saturday 17th June 2023 in Church from 10-11.30am hosted by Iris Bridson and Sarah Tizzard (our new Families and Young People Leader). Both have put themselves forward to co-host for the first time and I am very grateful to them! This month’s Cafe should be a brilliant one – our wonderful Sunnyside Gardeners are in attendance and Lucinda Monks is coming to host our second instalment of Craftea – the idea being to bring along whatever craft you are currently working on, have a cuppa, and sit with folks to craft together. Lucinda runs the online Berkhamsted Creative Challenge Facebook group and organised the Berkhamsted Cards of Christmas Hope initiative we took part in last year. Please do extend the invite to local family and friends who like crafting! Or indeed to ones who don’t too – hopefully folks will use the space to connect with others over a cuppa and a nice slice of cake. Please bring a reusable mug where possible to minimise our washing up (and you get more!). The lovely Wagers will be attendance to set the church back up ready for Sunday morning.

Community Cafe then breaks for the summer, returning Saturdays 16th September, 14th October (note this is the second Saturday to be outside of half term and also will be the morning of the Tearfund Quiz 2023), and 18th November, 10-11.30am. Please pop these in your diaries.

Community Cafe wouldn’t be possible without the brilliant folks supporting it – those who bake the yummy cakes, those who come along to co-host, and those who come to set the church back up. If one or more of these aspects interests you then please click on the link for more information – this will be left open all year to capture support. Any questions please contact Katie.
