FIT FOR THE FUTURE – LATEST NEWS JANUARY 2026
MORE SUCCESSFUL GRANT APPLICATIONS
We have received a further £20,000 in grant offers which brings our grant funds up to £86,000. Together with the generous gifts from church members we now have nearly £225,000. Our application for a grant from the national lottery community fund did not succeed: we were hoping that it might go some way towards our target.
Please continue to pray for the success of this venture which is a vital part of our vision for Sunnyside’s future. We have set ourselves the target to achieve it by 2030 so there are still four years to go!
WHAT NEXT IN THE YEAR AHEAD?
Our Fit for the Future strategy group is meeting in January and will discuss plans. We will be considering the potential of community fundraising and there are various grant applications in the pipeline. We will also have to look at other ways we might close our funding gap.
COMMUNITY FUNDRAISING
We have already had some encouraging offers from church members to organise fundraising events both large and small. We want to schedule a programme of entertaining events for the year ahead which will attract a wide range of local people and spread the news about Fit for the Future.
We hope that everyone in the church will commit to organise something big or small to raise the money we need.
What event or activity could you offer?
