FIT FOR THE FUTURE – LATEST NEWS

MONEY RAISED SO FAR – NOW OVER £200,000!

  • Gifts and pledges from church members       £130,350
  • Three successful grant applications                  £66,000
  • There is also a loan offer of £5,000 and some interest on the money already given.

PCC DECISIONS

The PCC agreed that we should go ahead with an application to the National lottery; if successful it could make a significant contribution to our total.

The PCC also agreed that as we have a number of substantial grant applications in the pipeline in addition to the Lottery, we should wait for a bit longer before deciding whether or not to do at least some of the work with the money we already have. We would much prefer to do all the work to the hall in one hit if possible. This would be both cheaper and less disruptive to hall use than a piecemeal approach. Expect decisions on what to do sometime in the new year…

COMMUNITY FUNDRAISING

We have already had some encouraging offers from church members to organise fundraising events both large and small. We want to schedule a programme of entertaining events for the year ahead which will attract a wide range of local people and spread the news about Fit for the Future.

If you would like to organise an event, perhaps with a group of friends, do let me know, or contact Shirley in the office and she will pass on a message.
