Time has flown since our last Sunnyside Ladies’ Social on Friday 20th March 2026 lunchtime when 17 of us ladies of differing ages got together at The Boat pub. It’s now coming up time for our summer social! Copying the format from our June 2025 summer drinks at The Old Mill.
What: Another lovely chance for the ladies in Sunnyside to get together and have a catch-up – proposing just drinks on this occasion so folks can mingle more easily.
Who: Everyone from 18-98! (fine to come alone, or why not arrange to share a taxi or a lift and come together, or consider collecting one of our older ladies who no longer drives or avoids driving at night).
When: Wednesday 8th July 2026 6.30-9.30pm (please come for as long or little as able – whether that is first thing so home before it gets dark, later on if you’ve been working, for a nightcap if you’ve already been out, or indeed even just for half hour in-between ferrying the kids around – Katie will be there for the duration and it would be lovely to see you; Rebecca and Sarah are definitely coming too!).
Where: The Old Mill (London Road, Berkhamsted HP4 2NB). https://www.theoldmillpub.co.uk/ Lots of free parking available. Subject to the weather being nice, we will be in a reserved area in the garden (one of their pods and some adjacent benches). There is plenty of lighting in the garden for when it gets darker and the pub has accessible entrances. Hopefully being outside will help with noise levels for those who find it harder to hear inside the pub.
Next step: Encourage folks to attend – everyone who comes to a social has reported they were pleased that they did and it was nice to enjoy a leisurely chat and drink together.
