Annual Meeting Tuesday 20th October

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.

Our annual meeting is happening this Tuesday at 7.30pm for a prompt start at 7.45pm. Like much in 2020, the annual meeting will be different this year as you can attend in person or via zoom. Anyone who is a member of the Sunnyside Church family or on the Electoral Roll is welcome. Here is the Annual Report which you need to read before the meeting.

If you are coming to the meeting in person, please remember to wear a mask and to enter the church through the porch door as on Sundays. Don’t forget to use hand sanitiser as you enter and leave the building.

If you are attending the meeting via zoom, please contact the church office for the link to the zoom meeting. Please make sure that you have joined the zoom call in plenty of time so you don’t miss anything.

Due to the complications of having a mixed media meeting, it would be really helpful if you would send any questions you have based on the Annual Report to Rebecca in advance. Please email them to vicar@sunnysidechurch.org.uk by 6pm on Tuesday 20th October.

The annual meeting is a time when we look back on what God has done in us and for us over the past year and look ahead to what he is calling us to be and do in the year to come. This is an opportunity to give thanks for what God has done and to be excited about what God will do. Please note that the Annual Report and most of the meeting on Tuesday is about what happened in 2019. Although this seems a long time ago now, this is the focus of the Annual Meeting and what we need to do to fulfil our legal responsibilities. Although 2020 has posed many challenges and is likely to continue to do so in the months to come, the joys and disappointments of this year are the subject of the 2021 Annual Meeting!

The annual meeting is an extremely important event in the life of our church and we really hope that you will make it a priority to attend.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
