Sunnyside is excited to be joining churches across the country again in hosting the Tearfund Big Quiz Night 2022. The quiz will be in Church on Saturday 19th November, 7.30pm for 7.45pm start, with Katie Randall-Stratton returning as Quizmaster. In 2019 we raised an incredible £637 including gift aid, in 2020 we beat that raising £683.75 including gift aid, and last year we smashed our previous efforts raising an amazing £806 including gift aid!

Will The Bitter Lemons retain their top spot and who will take home the wooden spoon?!
There will be eight rounds and they’ve spiced them up this year! – art and literature, current events, geography, historical firsts, music and film, sports, science and nature, and an intriguing round titled potato, pear, apple or banana!! Each round has six questions. Please bring your own drinks and nibbles (including vessels/bowls to put them in) and take any recycling home.
Please talk to your church family and friends about putting together teams of up to eight (sorry no more as it becomes unfair) – I know some folks are planning to come as a house group or indeed breaking into multiple teams and inviting others. Participants don’t all have to be Sunnysiders so rope in family, friends, neighbours, colleagues etc. Solo or smaller numbers welcome and we can put folks together if needed. It was wonderful to spend time together as a church family at the weekend away, let’s come out in force please for the quiz. Samson will be attending this year so please do consider bringing similar age and above children too – there are normally some questions the younger generations can answer and help the older ones with! Tearfund suggest a donation of £5 per person. Donating directly to Tearfund works well: https://www.justgiving.com/page/katie-randall-stratton-1666823728799 But please bring cash too as we will do another game of heads or tails. Sunnysiders and friends who aren’t able to join the quiz please do feel free to donate as well!
We’ll have had Community Cafe in Church earlier in the day so I shouldn’t need help setting up but as previous years hopefully many hands light work at the end.
