Community Cafe is on this Saturday 20th May 2023 in Church from 10-11.30am hosted by Jane Markby and Judy Edrich. Free hot drinks and cake provided as usual, please bring a reusable mug where possible to minimise our washing up (and you get more!). As ever, hopefully folks will use the space to connect with others over a cuppa and a nice slice of cake. Sunnyside’s Gardening team are particularly looking forward to coinciding with Community Cafe again!
Lucinda Monks was due to come along to help us launch our version of Craftea during Community Cafe – the idea being to bring along whatever craft you are currently working on, have a cuppa, and sit with folks to craft together – but unfortunately is poorly and gutted to miss this first one. Fear not Lucinda is planning to attend the second Craftea during June’s Community Cafe (Saturday 17th June). Lucinda runs the online Berkhamsted Creative Challenge Facebook group and organised the Berkhamsted Cards of Christmas Hope initiative we took part in last year. Stepping up to host Craftea will be Katie and Samson Randall-Stratton plus also Katie’s mum Diane (the lady who makes the amazing carrot cake). Samson will have his knitting with him as well as Uno cards! Please do extend the invite to local family and friends who like crafting!
Other 2023 dates include Saturdays 17th June, 16th September, 21st October and 18th November (none as usual in July, August or December). Please pop these in your diaries.
Community Cafe wouldn’t be possible without the brilliant folks supporting it – those who bake the yummy cakes, those who come along to co-host, and those who come to set the church back up.
