How Sunnyside is getting involved

Thy Kingdom Come (TKC) is a wonderful opportunity to join with others across the world to pray for people to experience the transforming power and mercy of God. This year there are two major themes:

  1. ‘Our Father in heaven’ – reflecting on the character of the God we worship and who we are praying people will come to know
  2. ‘Your Kingdom come’ – praying about how we might love and serve those in need

At Sunnyside, we are going to be taking part in TKC in a number of ways to enable the maximum number of people to be involved:

  • This Sunday we will be thinking about the 5 people we will commit to pray for throughout TKC
  • Some opportunities for corporate prayer:
18th May 12 noon in church – short service for Ascension Day with reflection on the character of God
19th May 7.30pm on zoom – meditation and prayer on the character of God led by Jackie. Email Jackie for the zoom link.
25th May 7.30pm in church – Prayer for Church with a focus on love and service
26th May noon on zoom – meditation and prayer on love and service led by Jackie. Email Jackie for the zoom link.
  • A daily reflection from different people at Sunnyside which we will send out through mailchimp, post on our website and print a few sets of for those who do not have access to the internet.
  • A prayer station in church for those who would like to drop in and pray there.

You might also like to use this prayer journal resource which has been created by the central TKC team (thanks Katie!)
