Daily Reflection 3: 20th May

This is a reflection to help you pray during Thy Kingdom Come. There will be a reflection for each day which will focus on the two main themes of TKC this year: The character of God and living the kingdom through love and service. They have been written by different members of Sunnyside Church. We suggest you ask God to speak to you through the words and picture before you begin, then read slowly through the reflection. What is God saying to you? How might you respond?

Bible Reading: Ephesians 1:3-4, 7-8
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ…In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us.

Reflection: Adopted by God
I invite you to spend some time reflecting on these amazing verses about the Father’s love for us and all the spiritual blessings He has given us. Notice any word of phrase that stands out particularly to you and chew it over in your mind and heart as He leads you and nourishes you. And talk to Him about it.

Prayer
Lord, help us to remember each day all that you have given us. And help us to live in the light of knowing that we are your chosen, forgiven and much-loved children.
