A couple of months have passed since our last Sunnyside Ladies’ Social (when 23 of us got together on Sunday 23rd March 2025 for a delicious afternoon tea and had a wonderful time). Please save the date for our next social: Wednesday 11th June!

What: Another lovely chance for the ladies in Sunnyside to get together and have a catch-up – proposing just drinks on this occasion so folks can mingle more easily.

Who: Everyone from 18-98! (fine to come alone, or why not arrange to share a taxi/lift and come together, or consider collecting one of our older ladies who no longer drive or at night).

When: Wednesday 11th June 7-10pm. Please come for as long or little as able – whether that is first thing so you’re home before it gets dark, later on if you’ve been working, for a night-cap if you’ve already been out, or indeed even just for half an hour in-between ferrying the kids around – Katie will definitely be there for the duration and would be lovely to see you.

Where: The Old Mill (London Road, Berkhamsted HP4 2NB). https://www.theoldmillpub.co.uk/ Lots of free parking available. Subject to the weather being nice, we will be in a reserved area in the garden (one of their pods and a large table). There is plenty of lighting in the garden for when it gets darker and there are accessible entrances to the pub. Hopefully being outside will help with noise levels for those who find it harder to hear inside the pub.

Next step: Encourage folks to attend – everyone who comes to a social has reported they were pleased that they did and it was nice to enjoy a leisurely chat and drink together.
