Each month we pray for two of our mission partners. Sunnyside’s prayer focus for January locally is Age UK, and internationally The Leprosy Mission.

Age UK

Age UK is working to improve later life for thousands of older people today and for future generations. They encourage the community and those in leadership to celebrate ageing by creating opportunities for people in later life and to challenge disadvantages and discrimination.
On a practical level they provide many services including lunch clubs, memory support groups, befriending, gardening, home help, handyman etc.
They ask us to pray for:

• all those older people in our community who experience loneliness and isolation especially at this time of year
• those who live with dementia, and their families/carers 

Please also pray for:

• the Sunnyside working party as they look at ways in which we can support those known to us and to ensure our services, buildings and community activities are accessible
• all staff and volunteers- particularly that more volunteers would come forward to support this vital work
