Our next Community Café will be in Church on Saturday 21st March 2026 from 10.30am-noon hosted by Penny H and Judith, with Penny and Tony coming along to set church back up. Needing to catch up with family, friends, a neighbour or a fellow churchgoer you haven’t seen this new year? Why not invite someone and use the space to connect with others over a free cuppa and a nice slice of cake. Or just come solo – your co-hosts would be delighted to have you join us and have the opportunity to chat!

As mentioned in recent newsletters, the Community Café in 2026 plan currently has gaps so we could do with additional folks please – in particular on the lookout for Set Back Uppers, which can take as little as 30 minutes once per year! Please read the Community Café job descriptions and contact Katie if you wish to discuss.

Other 2026 Community Café dates include:  Saturday 18th April (kids will be back at school after Easter holidays), Saturday 16th May, Saturday 20th June, none as usual in July or August because of the summer holidays; Saturday 19th September, Saturday 17th October, then Saturday 21st November (to fit in with the annual Tearfund Quiz), and none in December as it’s such a busy month.

Community Café turns 10 in May 2026, when we will be holding a special celebration! Please come along on Saturday 16th May 10am-12pm to mark this milestone – even if you don’t normally attend it would be great if you’re able to join us. Katie is keen to hear ideas from the congregation on things we could do to celebrate – ideas so far include children designing a special 10-year logo, and a photo collage – please get in touch!
