Our latest Community Café was held in Church on Saturday 21st March 2026 hosted by Penny H and Judith, with Tim holding a very useful IT/ChurchSuite help session, and with Penny, Tony and Karen setting the church back up. Gardeners and ballet folks were in attendance and as ever there were yummy cakes on offer and great conversations had!

Also to remind us: Community Café turns 10 in May 2026, when we will be holding a special celebration! Please put Saturday 16 May 2026 10am-12pm in your diaries and come along to mark this milestone. Katie is keen to hear ideas on things we could do to celebrate – ideas so far include children designing a special 10 year logo, photo collage – please get in touch!

As mentioned in recent newsletters, the Community Café in 2026 plan would welcome some additional names on it – even just for one Café in 2026 please! For example we do need someone to co-host alongside Penny H for the Saturday 18th April Community Café. Please read the Community Café job descriptions and contact Katie if wish to discuss or if able to help co-host in April. Other 2026 Community Café dates include: Saturday 18th April (kids will be back at school after Easter holidays), Saturday 16th May (special celebration to mark Community Café turning 10! – extended time of 10am-12pm), Saturday 20th June, none as usual in July and August as it’s the summer holidays, Saturday 19th September, Saturday 17th October, then Saturday 21th November (to fit in with the annual Tearfund Quiz), and not in December as it’s such a busy month.
