Each month we pray for two of our mission partners. During November we are praying for local charity Playskill, and our international focus is Elim ministries/Heidi Longworth.

Playskill

Playskill is a local charity that aims to help to develop communication, movement and key life skills of young children (0-5 years) with physical delays and/or disabilities. It fulfils this aim by offering free therapeutic play sessions, individualised training and support for parents/carers and via events for families.

They have asked us to pray as follows:

• they face a growing need and have seen an increase in applications for their sessions; they have a strong and ambitious target to reach higher numbers of families in need in Hertfordshire, but it is a challenging climate for charities;
• for their outreach service, where they are taking sessions directly into the homes of those who are not able to come to their centres;
• for the successful recruitment of fundraising staff and an occupational therapist.

Elim Missions/Heidi Longworth

Heidi writes:

• We are so thankful for our new building at Deo Gloria Church. Please pray that we are able to really make the most of our central position in the town, and make Jesus known in Hunedoara.
• Please pray for creativity and resources to use the space to reach out to people within the community who don’t yet know Jesus.
• Our youth group is growing with new people coming almost every week. Please pray for those who don’t yet know Jesus to come to know him, and for those who do to be drawn deeper into relationship with God. Also please pray for unity and good friendships within the group. 
• Please pray also for us youth leaders to lead them well, and help cultivate their spiritual growth, and give them opportunities to lead and to grow.
• Please pray too for my ongoing health problems – that things will settle and I’ll be able to pace myself well and have the energy to do all the things God has called me here to do.
