Each month we pray for two of our mission partners. Sunnyside’s prayer focus for February locally is Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care (RGPHC), and internationally Wycliffe Bible Translators.
Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care (RGPHC)
Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care is a charity providing patient-centred palliative care and bereavement support from the point of diagnosis, within Herts and Bucks. They provide this care in the setting that suits the individual/family the best – from inpatient Hospice to home and in-community venues. Only 14% of their funding comes from statutory sources.
They have asked us to pray:
- For those who attend and help out at the compassionate café held in Wigginton on Wednesday afternoons
- For the new compassionate café starting up at Liberty Tea Rooms in Hemel Hempstead – that those who attend will find comfort and care
- For all the fund-raising initiatives that will be held this year, that they would produce much-needed funds.
Wycliffe Bible Translators
‘We need prayers, and constant prayers. That God will give the courage and the strength so that this work is done and the translation reaches the hands of the people for whom it is meant.’

When we ask Bible translation teams how people in the UK and Ireland can best support them, the first thing many of them say is:
‘Please pray for us. We need your prayers.’
So please join us in praying for Bible translation teams around the world – many of whom face opposition to their work.
To help you pray, you can get the Wycliffe daily Prayer diary, along with our Words for Life magazine, or see prayer points on our social media. Or join the urgent prayer group, or explore our small group and devotional resources.
Thank you so much for praying; your prayers make a huge difference!
