The summer has passed and before we know it it’s time for Community Café to resume for the Autumn! Our next Community Café will be in Church on Saturday 21st September 2024 from 10.30am–noon hosted by Judy E and hopefully another volunteer will come forward please to support Judy! No experience necessary – Judy can make the coffee and so you can be a friendly face distributing refreshments! This task involves arriving at 10am to bring hot drinks through from the kitchen and cut cake (Katie will have already set up as much as possible on Friday evening), serving refreshments to folks, clearing up afterwards, and we’re normally ready to head off around 12.30pm. Unfortunately as it stands we also have a gap for a “Set Back Upper” to get church ready for Sunday morning’s 9am service. This task involves arriving by noon (although most folks arrive around 11.30am to enjoy a cuppa, cake, and chat), setting church chairs back up, and normally finishes by 12.30pm (so maximum one hour but could just be 30 minutes of your time if you came at noon). Please let Katie know asap if you are able to plug either of these gaps, it would be really appreciated if you can help!

Craftea (bring along whatever craft you are currently working on) will also be running. Free hot drinks and cake provided as usual, please bring a reusable mug where possible to minimise our washing up (and you get more!). As ever, hopefully folks will use the space to connect with others over a cuppa and a nice slice of cake. Further 2024 dates include 19th October, 16th November, none as usual in December.
