Each month we pray for two of our mission partners. During December we are praying for local charity Playskill, and our international focus is Embrace the Middle East.

Playskill

Playskill is a local charity that supports children with physical delays and disabilities. They offer play sessions, a parent support team, training for parents and carers and have a toy library. Playskill sessions give children the time and encouragement to explore their sensory and physical needs in their own way.

Please pray:

• for all parents who attend Playskill sessions that they may find community and overcome the isolation that can often come with having a special needs child
• that upcoming fundraising events would be successful

Embrace the Middle East

Compassionate and loving God:

• We come to you in sorrow for the violence and hatred that we are each capable of carrying out in our hearts. Forgive our inability to see your image in others.
• We pray for an end to the fighting and violence. We pray for those who are without shelter, clean water, food, electricity, medical care and safety. God of justice and peace, may the world’s leaders have the imagination to envision a future of creativity and human flourishing, rather than destruction and death.
• We pray for courage to speak up for peace, to challenge the hatred in our own hearts and minds, and to do all that we can to make for the peace that builds our common life as the nations of your world.

Lord, move our hearts. Give us eyes to see as you see.
