Each month we pray for two of our mission partners. During June we are praying for local charity Good News for Everyone, and our international focus is the Bulawayo Shelter, Zimbabwe.

Good News for Everyone

GNFE (formerly known as the Gideons) serves to introduce others to Jesus by the placing/presenting of Scriptures in many different areas of life, both here in the UK and overseas.

Prayer points:

• for the work of GNFE in prisons – both for volunteers and inmates that their work would give hope
• for all those who have received a Bible or the  Hope magazine – that they may discover ” light in the darkness “

Bulawayo Shelter, Zimbabwe

This has provided shelter for the destitute and food for those without for 40 years. Those years have brought many challenges – economic collapse, droughts, shortages of essentials – but the staff and volunteers have kept it open for those in need.

Thanks for:

• ·the generous gift from Sunnyside which arrived ‘just in time’ so some bills could be paid and the staff receive their wages. This means the doors will remain open.

• · a good rainy season at the start of the year for their maize and vegetables

and we ask to

• · continue supporting the residents in their needs and making them feel welcome and safe
• · guide Edgar as he takes on his new role as Superintendent of the Shelter
• · to comfort Moira who has done so much for the Shelter since it opened as she copes with her treatment
