We had a fabulous time marking this milestone on Saturday 16th May 2026 morning (see a few photos taken on the day) where there was a bumper tasty selection of treats and great conversations as ever resulting in an amazing buzzing atmosphere in Church! Katie was presented with a card and a bottle of red wine as a thank you for coordinating.

It was a real team effort; Katie, Samson, Penny H, Sarah and Sue M were all on hand to welcome folks. Similarly, it wouldn’t be possible to single out just one or two of the baking team on this occasion as there was such a brilliant selection. Many thanks to Sarah for the wonderful 10 birthday cake complete with added decorations, Penny H for her Biscoff cupcakes, Rebecca for her chocolate fudge chunks, Judith for her Victoria sponge cake, Nicci for her chocolate and coffee cake, Julie for her Bundt cake, Pat for her cherry flapjacks, Katie for her gluten-free chocolate cupcakes, Rachel H for her cheese scones, Sue for her gingerbread men, and Anthony for his herby bread. Despite so much to choose from there were not too many leftovers for the congregation on Sunday morning! Our last Community Café before we break for summer is on Saturday 20th June 10.30am-noon hosted by Katie and Samson, but at the moment we don’t have anyone coming along to set the church back up. Can anyone help please? Would just be for half an hour 12-12.30pm. Other 2026 dates include: Saturday 19 September, Saturday 17 October, then Saturday 21 November (annual Tearfund Quiz will be that date). The Community Café in 2026 plan would welcome some additional names on it from September. Please read the Community Café job descriptions and contact Katie if you wish to discuss.
