Just had info from Justin and Lucy in support of their Amazon appeal. The food pantry supports both those in the congregation and the wider community who struggle to buy basics. The food pantry also provides some food items for those rough sleepers who walk into the church.
Next Friday they are hosting 23 families (I assume asylum seekers) who are housed in a nearby hotel for a stay and play session This is in conjunction with local authority
He asks us to pray for this session and deepening relationships and for the addicts, homeless and mentally ill that they are in contact with.
On a very encouraging note, he reported £13,500 has been given for Bags of Hope, so they plan to give out 1500 bags this year. We can definitely give thanks for this!
